Activities

The Youth Empowerment Resource Center sponsors activities for teens and young adults with disabilities in the District of Columbia. These activities provide opportunities for teens and young adults to learn about community resources and participate in advocacy efforts that interest them. Here are some examples of current activities:
- Talking with city leaders about concerns facing youth with disabilities.
- Attending group meetings on how to get and keep a job.
- Creating Summer Internships for teens and young adults with disabilities.
