The Youth Empowerment Advocacy Resource Center (YEARC) is now accepting application for our Youth Leadership Institute. The Institute is for young people between the ages of 14 to 30, with developmental disabilities, residing in the District of Columbia who are interested in developing independent living skills and becoming leaders in their community.

The week long institute will focus on “transitioning to independence” and will cover topics such as; money management, job readiness and transition to work, basic computer and Internet technology, utilizing public transportation and continuing education opportunities.
