The Youth Empowerment and Advocacy Resource Center provides District of Columbia teens and young adults with disabilities an opportunity to have a paying summer job, to learn job skills, and to participate in activities that impact on their lives. The Summer Employment Program provides five youth and emerging leaders with developmental disabilities part time positions for six weeks. The Summer Employment Program provides participants with paid work experience as well as work readiness skills and information. The Summer Employment Program runs from June until August.
