Remember the Internet is a public place, and you have no way of knowing who you are really talking to online. Never give the following information to people that you only know online:

There is no way of really knowing who you are meeting online. If you want to meet an online friend in person:
- Always talk with your parent or guardian before you agree to meet anyone
- Never go to meet an online friend alone
- Always meet in a public place
Sometimes people use bad language or make mean comments online. Never respond to these types of e-mails, chat comments or instant messages. If something you see scares you or makes you feel bad, talk with your parents or a trusted adult.
